Story begins in 2015….

In April 2015, I was determined to start a business in the entertainment industry, and my father was kind enough to lend me the money I needed to make my dream a reality. I decided to organise a music festival in Hyderabad, India, featuring international and local DJs, and I named it ASTRA FESTIVAL. I poured my heart and soul into the planning process, and my excitement grew with each passing day.

As the festival date approached, I invested every penny of my father’s savings and some additional investments into the event. I was confident that we would make a profit and pay back the money we had borrowed in no time. However, as the day of the festival arrived, my confidence turned to disappointment. Despite our efforts to promote the festival, we didn’t have enough attendees to make a profit.

The Investment and the Disappointment

After the failure of our music festival, I couldn’t help but wonder what went wrong. I did everything I could think of to promote the event, but none of our marketing strategies seemed to work. Looking back, I realised that we made several crucial mistakes. We didn’t conduct proper market research to gauge the demand for such a festival, and we didn’t time the event correctly. Our targeting was off, and we failed to utilise the right platforms to promote the event. As a result, we burned a considerable amount of money and put our family in a difficult financial situation.

The Digital Marketing Dilemma

I had entrusted a team of so-called digital marketing experts to handle the promotional efforts, but it became apparent that they hadn’t done much to help us succeed. It took me eight long years to realise that we had been taken advantage of, and that the services they had provided were not worth the fees we had paid. The experience left me with a burning question – how could we have failed even after spending so much on digital marketing? It was a question that plagued me for years, and one that I was determined to find an answer to.

In 2015, I took my first digital marketing class at Digital Nest in Ammerpet, Hyderabad; I wanted to see if this was my cup of tea and if I wanted to pursue this career.

As I delved deeper into the world of digital marketing, I started to uncover new and innovative techniques that could help me sell any product or service. I studied the behavior of consumers, learned about the latest digital platforms, and became familiar with the ever-changing landscape of online marketing. Years passed, and I gained more and more knowledge and experience. Eventually, I started my career as a digital marketing specialist, determined to help other entrepreneurs avoid the same mistakes I made with Astra Festival. I worked tirelessly to create custom marketing strategies for each of my clients, taking into account their unique goals, audiences, and products.

The results spoke for themselves – my clients saw increased website traffic, higher conversion rates, and ultimately, more revenue. But even with all the success, I never forgot the lesson I learned from Astra Festival. I remained humble, always striving to improve and never becoming complacent.
